Hello there. I’ve been recently thinking on how to challenge myself and bring something back to the world. I’ve been using google for too long to learn new things - so it’s a good time to start sharing as well.
How this blog was born
TL;DR: Gitlab Pages. Took me around 1 hour to set initial version up
- Set up a static site using Hugo (arbitrary computer is enough for this)
- Deploy it to Gitlab (need a GitLab account - it has a free tier)
- Perform DNS configuration to expose the blog from my domain (you use either your DNS provider or whoever you’ve transferred your domain to - AWS, Cloudflare, DO, etc)
